Gujarat is facing a huge drug problem. Every other day thousands of crores of drugs are caught in the state. Now the situation has reached such alarming proportions that factories manufacturing drugs are caught operating in Gujarat.
We all know how dangerous this could be. We all know how drugs can kill the future of the state and the country. We all have seen what happened to the once very potent state of Punjab and how they lost their youth to the Drugs. Can we allow that to happen to Gujarat? No. We cannot and we wont.
But what is the way out?

It was the BJP Govt in Punjab, from 2007-2017 where the drug trade flourished under their protection.
Their leaders made money and people of Punjab paid with their future and lives.
Now in Gujarat it is the repeat telecast of the horror film of Punjab with cast different but same directors; the corrupt and criminal BJP Leaders. People with no conscience, party operating with the aim of destroying India’s future, so that they can keep the people interested in digging the past and living on the old glory. Otherwise there is no reason for a state Govt to sleep over such a huge drug network operating under their nose. There should be panic in the state Govt machinery as Drug trade cripples the society at so many levels.
BUT HAVE YOU SEE BJP WORRIED ABOUT DRUGS? HAVE YOU SEEN BJP TAKING ANY ACTION AGAINST DRUG MAFIAS?
Drugs are caught again and again from the Mundra Port’s vicinity. Is anybody from BJP Govt investigating the port or the port owners? WHY? With so much of intelligence network and security agencies in place, the Govt is unable to catch the mafia?
Just as during the Corona times, they missed vital information, anticipating with foresight the contagious disaster that followed, similarly here, they are totally missing the big picture of Drugs led disaster and how it will eat the future of the youth!
Unemployment is already at a distressing proportion in the state, prohibition policy implementation is in absolute despair.
These factors add to the susceptibility of the youth to the drugs. Gujarat needs to save its children. Gujarat needs to reject drugs, Gujarat needs to reject BJP.

Because the BJP Govt of Gujarat is not serious about taking up this alarming issue. Either they are so inefficient that they cannot see the peril the future generation is facing or they are protecting the mafia.

Drug abuse is harmful at any age, but people are most vulnerable to drugs during their teenage to youth years. Young people who do not use drugs up till the age of 20-21 hardly become targets later on. Moreover, the earlier in life drug use is initiated, the more likely users are to consume progressively more dangerous substances. Thus, preventing drugs among teens to youth is a critical public health goal for Indian National Congress.
We urge responsible citizens, concerned parents, active social sector organisations to work to join us in our fight against drugs in Gujarat. If you are following news stories of the recent few years, you must have seen shocking stories of the drug hauls in Gujarat.
